Poetry so often speaks the words for people and situations that we can’t find ourselves.

We designed this page for people who wish to remember and commemorate any loved one who is no longer with us. If you would like to have someone included please visit our In Memoriam Request page.

And if thou wilt, remember, And if thou wilt, forget.

Tania would like to remember her mother with this poem. Vissé came from Iran to study medicine in England and married Ralph. She was a great romantic, a lover of life, England, classical music, their garden, and all things beautiful. I wish that her life had been easier at the end. I miss her beautiful spirit, and am grateful for the gifts she gave me.

The little, nameless acts of unremembered kindness and of love

Tania would like to remember Ralph with this poem.  His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love abounded in his life; My father’s wish was to tend to my mother, to her dying breath; he left too soon, and I miss him with all my heart.

‘Love is not love, which alters when it alteration finds’

Paul, Gerald and Jonathan would like to remember their mother Molly Campbell Cox, actress and teacher. She loved poetry and drama so we choose this Shakespeare sonnet. Always loving, always supportive – may she rest in peace.

‘All now left to do is dive through the depths of heaven or hell, and on through the unknown to find the new’

Paul, Gerald and Jonathan would like to remember their father Derek Cyril Cox. A powerful character that mellowed over the years. Life was a voyage of discovery, Charles Baudelaire was his favourite poet. He loved his family and may he rest in peace.
